Hoodwinked!

In Hoodwinked!, Flippers comes into Granny Puckett's cottage and Timmy, Tommy, and Glenn and Officer Bill Stork greet him, and Flippers tells Bill Stork that he's just stopping by to have a sarsaparilla. Chief Grizzly asks Flippers what he's doing in Granny's house and that this is his case. Flipper says that "somebody hibernated on the wrong side of the cave" and asks Red, Granny, Wolf, and the Woodsman about the events leading up to the incident in which the wolf tricked Red into believing he was her grandmother and then the Woodsman smashed through the window and scared Red, Wolf, and Granny (who was tied up in her closet).

After Red, Granny, Wolf, and Kirk tell their stories about what happened, Flippers recognizes that the only commonality to these events was Boingo the Bunny and deduces that he's the Goody Bandit.

At the film's climax, Flippers arrives and tells Red, Granny, Wolf, and Twitchy (Kirk left and finally fulfilled his dream to travel the world with his favorite singing band, the Happy Yodelers) that he's a member of the Happily Ever After Agency and enlists the four to start the private agency with him, to which they all accept.

Trivia

  • Flippers is said to be a spoof on Nick Charles from The Thin Man or Hercule Poirot, and Flippers' wire fox terrier is the same breed as Asta, Nick Charles' dog.
  • In his mid 20s, Flippers used to be a famous dancer at a disco club, thus earning his nickname "Flippers."
  • He is also a great role at playing STH from Thomas the tank because they are both controllers.
